The carillon of 47 bells thoroughly overhauled. A new top frame provided for the 17 smallest bells, a new scientifically designed direct-action transmission and new clappers fitted.

The bellframe repaired and stabilised and the peal of six bells rehung with new fittings.

St Andrew’s Church, Prestwold, Leicestershire.
The peal of eight bells tuned and the treble, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th ands tenor bells rehung with partly new fittings in the existing bellframe. 8 bells, tenor 10-2-21 in F#

The peal of six bells rehung on ball bearings and the fittings overhauled. 6 bells, tenor 11-2-22 in F

St Mary the Virgin, Parham, Suffolk
6 bells, tenor 5-3-4 in A#. The old 2nd bell of the three replaced and three trebles added to make six. A new 8-bell fabricated steel frame installed around the medeival 4-bell frame and the six bells hung with all new fittings.
Having set ourselves a design target of 0.5 mm maximum frame movement we acheived less than 0.2 mm movement.

St Michael & All Angels, Hackthorne, Lincolnshire
6 bells, tenor 8-0-8 in G. Five of the six old bells from Milton, Oxfordshire tuned, anew Taylor treble added and the six bells hung with new fittings in a new fabricated steel bellframe made locally to our design.

St Chad, Saddleworth, Yorshire
The bearings cleaned, clappers rebushed and rollers refurbished, the metalwork of the bell installation cleaned and painted and the woodwork treated.

St.James the Greater, Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire
6 bells, tenor 6-0-27 in A#. The old peal of four, rehung with new fitings in a new 6-bell frame in 2003, augmented to six by adding two secondhand bells.

St.George, Unsworth, Lancashire
The broken single bell replaced with a secondhand bell from All Saints' Farnworth, hung for stationary manual chiming in the rebuilt turret.

St Peter & St Paul, Upton, Nottinghamshire
6 bells, tenor 7-3-12 in G#. The poor-toned 2nd of four removed, the old treble tuned down to replace it and three Taylor trebles added to augment the bells to six. The bells rehung with new fittings in a new fabricated steel 'H' frame on one level and the old bellframe hoisted and placed above it. A new sound control system installed

Liverpool Hope University
A slight diversion from our normal work. The old bell tower, removed from one of the College buildings, refurbished and installed at The Life Bank, Quorn Street, Kensington, Liverpool.

Cathedral Churdch of St Saviour & St Mary Overie, Southwark
13 bells, Tenor 48-0-9 in Bb. A new sharp 2nd bell cast and tuned by Hayward Mills Associates to a Samuel Knight profile to match the other bells. The bell hung with new ringing fittings in a new fabricated steel framework buiolt into the central well of the existing bellframe.

All Saints', Lanchester, Co. Durham
6 bells, tenor 9-1-6 in A. The 4th and tenor bells, by Thomas Mears, replaced with new bells cast and tuned by Hayward Mills Associates cast to Whitechapel 'Mark I' profiles to match the other four bells. The six bells rehung with new fittings in as new fabricated 'lowside' framework with grillage for eight bells.

The peal of six retuned and rehung with new fittings in a new galvanised fabricated steel bellframe.

St.Wulfram¹s Parish Church, Grantham, Lincolnshire
Two lighter bells were added to provide a peal of eight with the current 6th bell as tenor. A new sound control system installed

The peal of three bells were rehung with new fittings in the existing bellframe and three second hand bells, donated by the Keltek Trust, added to augment them to six.

St.Alkelda¹s Church, Giggleswick, West Yorkshire
The fine Gillett & Johnston eight were rehung with new fittings and the lower framework was entirely replaced.

St.Mary¹s Parish Church, Beverley, East Yorkshire
The 10-bell bellframe has been reordered to provide an acceptable rope circle.

All Saints¹ Church, Langport, Somerset
The fittings have been thoroughly overhauled and the bellframe strengthened.
Ongoing Projects

Church of the Ascension, Bitterne Park, Southampton.
The bellframe has been reordered to provide five additional pits prior to the installation four new trebles to make twelve and the hanging of the existing ‘flat 6th’.

Church of St Mary the Virgin, Hambleden, Buckinghamshire.
The bellframe to be adapted to take two additional bells to make eight and the existing Sanctus bell (Mears & Stainbank 1954) to be hung as the treble. Two new bells have been cast by us to Mears & Stainbank profiles to become the new 2nd and a replacement for the existing treble which is to be hung for stationary chiming.


St Peter’s Church, Thurgarton, Nottinghamshire.
The peal of four bells to be augmented to six using a second-hand Gillett & Johnston bell provided by the Keltek Trust and a new bell cast by us.

St Swithins Church, Wellow, Nottinghamshire. The peal of four bells to be augmented to six using a second-hand Gillett & Johnston bell provided by the Keltek Trust and a new bell cast by Taylors.

The peal of eight bells to be rehung with new fittings in the existing bellframe.

St Radegund’s Church, Maplebeck, Nottinghamshire.
The unringable peal of three bells and the bellframe to be removed from the tower. The 2nd bell to be replaced with a second-hand bell provided by the Southwell Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers to convert the bells into a major scale. The three bells to be rehung with new ringing fittings in a framework designed for extension for up to six bells. The old 2nd will be rehung for stationary chiming.

St Mary’s Church, Brownedge, Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. (8 bells, tenor 14-3-24 in F).
The upper framework to be rebuilt on new foundation steelwork, the whole frame to be painted and the bell fittings overhauled.

Heighington, Co. Durham
The peal of six bells rehung with new fittings in the existing bellframe and a new set of rope guides provided. Tenor 15-1-23 in F#.

St. Salvator’s Chapel, University of St. Andrews, Fife
The two existing bells rehung with new fittings in a new frame which will allow for augmentation to six or eight. The heaviest is 6-1-15 in B

Holy Trinity Church, Horwich, Lancs
Here can be seen the bellframe under construction in our yard. The frame has been rebuilt on a new double foundation grillage, the bells rehung on ball bearings and the fittings overhauled. 8 bells, Tenor 12-3-13 in G.

St Mary¹s Church, Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambs
Peal of six bells augmented to eight and hung with new fittings in a new galvanised fabricated steel lowside framework. Tenor 10-1-25 in G.

St. Peter¹s Church, Saltby, Leics
The bells were augmented from 3 to 10, the bellframe being constructed from frame castings reclaimed
from St. Matthew¹s, Newcastle; Plumtree, Notts.; and Banwell, Somerset mounted on new fabricated
steel grillages. Tenor 12-1-11 in E.

St. Mary¹s, Clifton, Nottingham
The heavy peal of six bells transferred to St. Mary¹s, Plumtree, Notts. and replaced with a lighter peal of 6 in 1991. The framework was extended and the bells augmented to 8 in 1997. The glass windows have since been removed and a sound control system installed. Tenor 8-0-7 in A#.

Holy Trinity Church, Clifton, Nottingham
The chime of eight bells from St. Paul¹s, West Smethwick, were hung for ringing with financial assistance from the Ringing in the Millennium¹ project. Tenor 3-1-18 in E, treble weight 0-2-8.

St. Peter¹s Church, Farndon, Notts
The four bells were augmented to six and rehung with new fittings in a new galvanised fabricated steel framework. Tenor 9-0-18 in F#.

St. Peter¹s Church, Nottingham
A new sharp 2nd bell, complete with fittings and framework, added to the peal of twelve (tenor 22-2-5 in Eb) to provide a light peal of eight, tenor 8-2-6 in Bb.
